Evergreen Flopcraw 3.3″
Flap Claw, a complete craw-worm conceived by Ken Fukushima for competition use, includes large, robust claws that bring prominence despite its small stature. Benefitting from the weight of high-salt-density elements, its action concentrates energy in waves created by body and claw movements after impacting the seafloor. Most notably, it is highly effective in concealing its presence and murky water conditions. The low center of gravity of its pronounced claws enables it to lift off the bottom with precision. By widening the claw’s base surface, it increases its position stability and prevents toppling. Its crawling, claws down, without overturning when pulled is reminiscent of the crustacean in its native habitat.
Incorporating Fukushima’s dedication, the body is injected with a hill-shaped ridge to secure the offset hook at the back. This ensures easy and secure weedless attachment with nothing obstructing the hook point protrusion. Contradictory needs of hooking and weedless performance are simultaneously met with a carefully calculated body shape. Legs, antennae, claws, back and belly are all deliberately designed to evoke the natural world. Outstanding with Texas rigs and leaderless down shot rigs, it is celebrated in Kasumigaura and Tone river system tournaments utilizing only one rod as the proof of Fukushima’s unparalleled trust.
