Raid Japan Osakana Swimmer
The edgy body shape with a squared cross section of the Osakana Swimmer is designed to maintain presence from cast to drift. Its thicker head and well-constructed dorsal and caudal fins facilitate water bite. With slight line tension during drift, it boasts a natural “fall speed” and “horizontal posture” to spark an underwater sense of life, thanks to an expertly-calibrated buoyant body.
A line through system is employed to simplify hook attachment, increasing the hooking rate, as the hook can be positioned nearer to the bass’ target, the head. Notably, damage to the body is minimized and its strength enhanced by fixing the hook point within the body’s buoyant slit. When the fish strikes, the hook effortlessly releases from the body, thereby reducing losses.
The line through is divided into two sections, the back and abdomen, enabling users to switch between back needle and abdomen needle specifications for flexible adaptation to the application. To use, guide the line through the tip of the nose, and attach the included treble hook to the hole in the abdomen or back. Expert recommendations include employing the back needle specification as a primary station while falling and staying, or counterbalancing with a nail sinker in the abdomen while swimming.
Thanks to its high-balance design, the Osakana Swimmer is suitable for a broad range of speeds, from ultra-slow to fast retrieve, but is best used in slow retrieve, which is the traditional target of swimbait lure tactics. Additionally, due to its attractiveness to fish and its ability to remain in place while feeding, it is an exceptionally effectual lure when used in sight fishing and other non-winding techniques.
